New Dawn

Hi everyone, it's been a long time coming but yeah, here's some news. We've had a tough old year at Type towers, and as a lot of you have noticed the schedule slowed down a little at the end of 2007. This was down to a lot of things, but we're happy to announce that all is well and we have a LOT of wonderful things planned for the future. Firstly we have a new album from the very talented Peter Broderick, it's called 'Float' and is out now on VERY limited vinyl, and soon on CD. After that we're very proud to say we have a brand new album from Portland's Grouper called 'Dragging A Dead Deer Up A Hill' and following that the brand new album from Goldmund, entitled 'The Malady of Elegance'. Phew... so a lot of good stuff planned and a LOT more I don't want to announce yet, so plenty to get excited about right? Here's to a cracking rest-of 2008.

Love John xx

Downtime!

Sorry everyone for the downtime over the last few days - our domain registration server screwed us up and their tech support were conveniently unavailable for 2 days. Oh modern technology, how we love thee. Anyway all back now, so shop orders, chat and everything else we've come to love and cherish is right back in yer face. Give us love xox John.

John Chantler : For Barry Ray - A Little Tweaking

Husband and Wife duo John Chantler (Room 40) and Carina Thoren bring together a lovely mix of free jazz, drone/minimalism, ea/improv and a little suite of distended song. Together they go under the moniker 'For Barry Ray' and they have a new album due on Room 40 very soon indeed. It's awesome so you should really buy it!
