New Dawn

Hi everyone, it's been a long time coming but yeah, here's some news. We've had a tough old year at Type towers, and as a lot of you have noticed the schedule slowed down a little at the end of 2007. This was down to a lot of things, but we're happy to announce that all is well and we have a LOT of wonderful things planned for the future. Firstly we have a new album from the very talented Peter Broderick, it's called 'Float' and is out now on VERY limited vinyl, and soon on CD. After that we're very proud to say we have a brand new album from Portland's Grouper called 'Dragging A Dead Deer Up A Hill' and following that the brand new album from Goldmund, entitled 'The Malady of Elegance'. Phew... so a lot of good stuff planned and a LOT more I don't want to announce yet, so plenty to get excited about right? Here's to a cracking rest-of 2008.

Love John xx

Downtime!

Sorry everyone for the downtime over the last few days - our domain registration server screwed us up and their tech support were conveniently unavailable for 2 days. Oh modern technology, how we love thee. Anyway all back now, so shop orders, chat and everything else we've come to love and cherish is right back in yer face. Give us love xox John.

The year ahead

We've had a fantastic start to the year so far... Stef has a new addition to the family, baby Imogen, and this month was named as one of three Digital Pioneers by the British Council.

John has been busy organising a fantastic programme of releases for the year - check out the Community area for updates on what's coming up at Type...

Honda: More Forward ad

Goldmund's track 'Ba' from the album Corduroy Road has been chosen for the music for Honda's latest UK TV commercial.

The ad features Honda's latest scientific breakthrough, the robot Asimo, which is apparently capable of realtime human-like movements - fascinating to watch.

Chatting

The Type board still isn't fixed so I've started a blog which I'll hopefully manage to update with recommended tunes and whatnot. It's not a perfect solution but it's better than nothing!
